Rectors Ivanka Popovic (Belgrade) and Svein Stølen (Oslo) were interviewed last week as the Circle U. coordination group met in Belgrade, both emphasizing the importance of cooperation between universities in Europe.
The first Circle U. student seminar gathered students from all seven partners and was a great success.

On 6 -7 June, Université de Paris hosted a first alliance seminar with an administrative focus. The overarching theme was to discuss what it will take to establish a European Inter-University Campus.
During the last coordination group meeting, the Alliance received valuable input from students. In the coming months the Alliance will use the input we receive from staff and students to construct innovative and sound work packages.
Six university partners have been awarded EU funding for a project that will generate new knowledge about transferable skills while also laying the foundation for our future university alliance.
The coordination group had a productive meeting in Brussels on 28 June. The alliance is making progress towards a strong application to become a European University.
