We, the Circle U. Student Union (CUSU) finally had the pleasure of meeting physically for the first time since the Paris seminar in March 2019. We met in Aarhus the 25th to the 27th of November, and kick-started the seminar at ARoS museum with the Management board of Circle U.
During the pandemic we have had monthly virtual meetings, but to be able to meet physically is a crucial aspect of creating and sustaining the Union. It was also great to finally meet with the management board, and to be able to directly confer with them, sharing ideas, priorities, and challenges. We hope that this collaboration will continue in the future.
During the seminar the Circle U. Student Union made important steps toward ensuring that it will be a sustainable organization that is able to represent students in the long-term. Student ambassadors from all the seven universities agreed on the internal structure of the Union, political stances, as well as our priorities for the coming year. We agreed on an internal structure where we have three flexible taskforces with the overall themes: communication, legal matters, and governance
We are looking forward to the next phase of the project, and we will keep up the engagement to ensure that the student perspective always makes up a crucial part of all aspects of the Circle U. project.
Finally, we want to thank Aarhus University and the Student Council at the university for the hospitality!
