Mapping the gender balance among student entrepreneurs

By mid-August 2021, thanks to a mapping currently going on in all partner universities, the Circle U. alliance will know more about the gender balance among student entrepreneurs.

The collected data and reports on the gender balance among student entrepreneurs will be important for the future activities and initiatives within the alliance, particularly for setting up the Female Founder Network. With this network, Circle U. universities will support the current female founders among our students as well as engage them to become role model and share their experiences so that more female students may choose this career path.

Encouraging student innovation

"Student Led Sustainable Innovation" is the Circle U. platform coordinated by the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Through this platform we want to contribute to a sustainable economy and a green transition by substantially increasing the number of graduates with entrepreneurial and innovation skills.  More concretely, the platform aims to encourage students’ engagement in innovation approaches to sustainability and to co-develop and implement challenge-based courses and programmes across universities and disciplines. At the same time, we would like to address the gender imbalance among entrepreneurs and innovators. Hence the launching of the Female Founders Network.
