– Such an insightful conference session on Evidence and Democracy in Times of Crisis at the University of Oslo, in the framework of European University Alliance Circle U. Glad to represent Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin!  – Matilda Bako

– Thank you very much for organizing this summer school. It was really interesting, well organized and enjoyable, so thank you for this great experience! – Koen Donatz, King's College of London

These are two of the feedbacks after a week of the very first Circle U. Summer School at the University of Oslo!

The topic of the course attracted students of broad interdisciplinary backgrounds, and they engaged in interesting and diverse discussions on the topic. Their comments, questions and experiences were important input in the discussions of the global challenges in the future.

Some of the projects presented the last day focused on travel restrictions for people with HIV, sanctions against Russia, and wildfire, among others.

The students particularly appreciated to be together in person and be able to connect with other students across borders and disciplines. Oslo offered nice summer weather, and many used the opportunity to go swimming in the Oslo Fjord.
