Towards Circle U. 2030

On 25 March, the Management Board, with the support of Circle U. Student Union (CUSU), launched the process to reflect, discuss and design the future of Circle U. A first workshop dedicated to the mission and vision of Circle U. was organized in Brussels.

At the beginning of 2022, the Management Board has agreed on the process that should facilitate the preparation of the application to the next European Universities call for proposals 2022, to be launched in November 2022. For the next 6 months, the Management Board will work with the entire Circle U. community to pave the way towards the next application but most importantly to design the future of our alliance, beyond the forthcoming EU-funded projects.

A taskforce, led by Dana Samson (pro-rector for international relations at UCLouvain) and supported by the Secretary General, will be in charge of drafting a series of concept notes about our vision and mission, our ambition and priorities, our organization and cooperation modalities. To do so, various workshops with Management Board members, CUSU and other partners will be organized. The Circle U. community (including work packages coordinators, leads, academic chairs, etc.) as well as our universities colleagues that are not directly implicated in the alliance, will be contributing to the process.

Preliminary conclusions are expected by September 2022. Stay tuned and get engaged!
