Interdisciplinary virtual summer seminars

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is initiating an innovative learning format for Circle U. students; international, interdisciplinary virtual seminars led by postdocs or doctoral students. The «Circle U. Teams» will be offered during Humboldt’s upcoming summer term, running from April through July.  Deadline for registering is April 1st.

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is initiating «Circle U. Teams» to support both students and junior reasearchers (PhD students and postdocs) within Circle U.

The idea is to provide students with a first experience of innovative education models and methodology as well as introduce them into the scientific community in their respective fields. They will be awarded 5 ECTS for successful participation. For junior researchers, the idea is to gain first experiences in leading a small student team, says.

About the teams

All of the teams starting now have a thematic link to at least one of Circle U.’s key topics - Climate, Democracy or Global Health - and students will play an active role during the seminar.

Circle U. students are eligible to register for these courses via email In your email, please include:

  • the name of the Circle U.-Team you would like to join
  • the name of your home university
  • you target degree
  • your main subject / course / current degree programme
  • your study year or semester.

Deadline for registering is April 1st.
