The University of Belgrade and Circle U.
For UB, Circle U. offers a unique opportunity to learn from the best European universities and be the forerunner for the advancement not only of Serbian universities, but also of universities across the Western Balkans and south-eastern Europe, thus bringing about a larger positive impact in these regions. During the pilot phase, UB coordinated activities in the area of Student Led Sustainable Innovation, including developing and scaling up challenge-based learning activities. It is a strategic priority for the university to promote student innovation, the development of transferable and entrepreneurial skills, and sustainable education.
Under the project Circle U. 2030, UB played a crucial role in setting up the InCU.bator, based on the lessons learnt in the pilot phase. It will also reinforce its engagement in the Knowledge Hub on Climate and will support the further development of a joint programme. Along with the University of Pisa, the University of Belgrade co-directs our new Knowledge Hub on Artificial Intelligence. Last but not least, UB is responsible for the development and implementation of IT infrastructures that will make Circle U. a reality for our communities.
