If you are teaching in one or more of these areas and you are interested in international cooperation in teaching this might be an opportunity for you!
To facilitate collaboration, we invite instructors from the collaborating institutions to express their interest in participating in a two-day in-person matchmaking event in Vienna from 12 till 13 February 2026. During this event, you will have the opportunity to meet colleagues with similar interests and explore possibilities for developing joint courses.
The organizing team will make a final selection of workshop participants with the intention of achieving thematic alignment based on the indicated interests. As a key deliverable, Circle U. aims to develop at least 35 interdisciplinary bachelor-level sustainability courses across the alliance. For a course to be labeled as a Circle U. offer, it must meet certain standards as listed on the website. There is a variety of different formats these courses can be developed (online/hybrid course, COIL, BIP), so we would ask you to look through formats in advance and contact your Circle U. coordinator to gain more clarity. This way, the Matchmaking event can be more precise and help you with specific questions.
If you are interested, please complete this online form by 12 December 2025. Regarding funding opportunities for travel and accommodation, please reach out to your International/Erasmus office at your home institution.
If you have any questions, please send a short email to circle-u@univie.ac.at with the subject headline "Matchmaking Event".
