Entrepreneurship is all about connections. Creativity, inspiration and determination come from engaging with people from diverse backgrounds. Circle U. embodies this spirit: a unique environment where we learn as much from experts as we do from fellow participants.

As a healthcare student, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Cross-Incubation Week of Circle U. in Vienna. Beyond the unforgettable atmosphere and the city's rich cultural heritage, where architecture and music are as impressive as the thriving entrepreneurial scene—this week was a truly transformative experience.

About the programme

Throughout the week, speakers and mentors provided us with valuable tools to innovate together, much like Strauß did in music. And what better place than Vienna, a city home to over 1,700 startups, more than 15 incubators and accelerators, and over 45 coworking spaces and hubs, to dive into the heart of entrepreneurship?

Together with my fellow participant Chloé, we are two students passionate about healthcare and entrepreneurship. This international experience allowed us to take our social entrepreneurship project further and focusing on cancer and the emotional suffering it entails.

We received invaluable feedback from inspiring individuals and deepened our understanding of crucial aspects of business creation, such as "building a kickass team", all while participating in hands-on workshops with dedicated mentors.

This week in Vienna was far more than just an incubation programme, it was a powerful human and intellectual experience, pushing us to think bigger and believe even more in our project.

An amazing experience pitching in English!

Coming from Paris, I was used to presenting our ideas to French teams. But participating in the Cross-InCUbation Week with Circle U. was an incredible adventure that pushed me out of my comfort zone.

An international experience challenges you every minute: whether during presentations, workshops, and pitching sessions, or even in casual moments like city tours and shared meals with people from different cultures, all in a language you’re not used to. I learned so much from mentors and teachers, but also from fellow students from other countries, especially about gaining confidence in public speaking. This experience was truly transformative, helping me grow both personally and professionally while pushing my project forward.

Being an entrepreneur means constantly stepping outside your comfort zone, and I’m so happy to have gained valuable new skills on my entrepreneurial journey!

So, if, like me, you love adventure and challenges, don’t hesitate—Circle U. is full of opportunities! 🚀
