At the beginning of the academic year we announced a Hackathon series geared towards students of all levels and disciplines. This activity consisted in joining a multicultural and multi-background team, and tackle a concrete innovation challenge linked to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Health.
During this closing event, 35 students from the Innovation Classes of the Louvain School of Engineering, Université Paris Cité, University of Oslo, Humboldt Universität and Aarhus University organized in 7 teams, had the opportunity to present their solutions in the form of 5-minute pitches to a jury composed of academics and experts in innovation and business incubators.
Student teams worked hard but also had a lot of fun "learning by doing" innovation on the theme of "Rehumanising the relationship between Health Professionals and Patients in the 21st Century".
An inter-university, interdisciplinary and multicultural experience which required these students to work collaboratively, while discovering the main tools and processes of innovation.
The results were more than conclusive at the end of this pitches session where the jury was able to fully appreciate the work of these students, with some of them already foreseeing of going further in the development of their solution.
A great adventure for the students as well as for the whole team of teachers and facilitators who participated!
