The Empowering Research and Innovation Actions (ERIA) project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020, aimed to strengthen the research and innovation capabilities of Circle U.

The project was funded from September 2021 until October 2024.

Under the ERIA project, 4 project activities (or "work packages") have been identified, each targeting specific objectives:

Fostering inter- and transdisciplinarity in research and innovation activities. As comprehensive and research-intensive universities, we are uniquely equipped to use inter- and transdisciplinary approaches to address complex and multi-dimensional societal challenges.

ERIA: A new project to boost the research and innovation dimension of our alliance

On 1st September 2021, the project Circle U. ERIA (Empowering Research and Innovation Actions) was officially launched. ERIA will strengthen the Research and Innovation dimensions of Circle U. by supporting pilot activities in its Knowledge Hubs and empowering its early-career researchers.
