General information
Teaching staff from all areas may apply for staff mobility for teaching and training at a Circle U. partner university in order to support their professional development.
Staff Mobility for Teaching is a stay at an Erasmus+ partner institution focused on teaching the students of the partner institution. It is a requirement that you participate in teaching activities for at least 8 hours per week during the exchange.
You may combine teaching with training activities. If you carry out both types of activities, your weekly teaching obligation during the stay will be reduced to 4 hours.
Types of eligible mobility activities
These are examples of events that might be eligible for support from Erasmus+:
- Teaching, lecturing, and seminars
- A combination of teaching and training
- Participation in staff training weeks, partner days, international weeks
- Seminars and workshops at higher education institutions
- Study visits for observation
Funding
You may apply for funding for shorter training stays at Circle U. universities for teaching, training or a combination. The Erasmus+ grant might cover some of your expenses. Please contact your home university for funding opportunities.
Planning of your mobility stay abroad
Duration of the mobility:
- For mobilities between EU countries: from 2 days to 2 months + 2 days for travelling. Please note that most universities only fund stays from 2 – 5 days.
- For mobilities to the UK (King's College London): the minimum number of days depend on the funding scheme for the mobility and differs between the universities in the alliance. For more information, please contact your home university.
Teaching staff at King’s College London are currently not eligible for Erasmus+ funding.
