As we ask ourselves the question of what the future holds for democracy in Europe, we will explore how the relationship between the government and the presidency is shaping the rule of law, civil rights, and key political reforms in Poland.
Focusing on issues such as migration and border politics in light of the war in Ukraine, our panel will reflect on Poland's relationship with the EU and future implications for democratic development in the country related to the election outcome.
Key topics such as gender equality and climate, and the relationship these topics have to democracy, will also play an important part in our conversation.
If you are interested in learning more about the political situation in Poland, and what it can tell us about democratic development in Europe, this event is for you!
