Training Healthcare Students using Immersive Simulations

When training healthcare students and professionals there are two challenges: bringing theory into practice and bringing together different disciplines and professions together such as doctors and nurses and other clinicians. Immersive simulations offer a meaningful and real-life response to these two challenges. But immersive simulations raise also several questions.

  • How to do so? And is it really feasible?
  • What are the hurdles of carrying out immersive simulations and how to overcome them?
  • How to train people to facilitate simulations?
  • And above all, how to bring together different healthcare students and workers who have been trained with different pedagogical methods and come from very diverse background.
