The CU.til Staff Development Festival

The Circle U. Teaching and Innovation Lab (CU.til) is an arena for knowledge-based pedagogical innovation and the development of evidence-based educational practices (EBE), gathering both academic and technical expertise. Promoting student-centred learning, quality assurance and a learning outcomes approach, the key missions of the CU.til are to improve the educational status quo, to enhance student learning and to contribute to the professional development of academic staff.

The CU.TIL Staff Development Festival is Circle U.'s annual celebration of teaching, learning, and educational innovation. Bringing together educators, educational developers, academic leaders, and researchers from across the alliance, the festival offers a rich programme of workshops, collaborative learning experiences, and networking opportunities designed to inspire and strengthen teaching practice in higher education.

This year's festival combines online learning, onsite innovation days, and future-oriented discussions across three complementary pathways. Whether you are looking to develop practical teaching skills, explore innovative pedagogies, engage with colleagues from across Europe, or reflect on the future of higher education, the festival offers opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, and build lasting collaborations.

The programme emphasises active participation, peer learning, and practical application. Rather than traditional lectures, most sessions are designed as interactive, hands-on workshops where participants experiment with new approaches, exchange experiences, and develop ideas they can immediately transfer to their own teaching and institutional contexts.
