Discover student opportunities across Europe
On 14 October, students are invited to join the Circle U. Info Session & Welcome Day, a one-hour online event designed to give an inside look at student life and opportunities across the alliance.
Student representatives from all nine Circle U. universities will share their experiences and insights into studying at their institutions.
For students curious about studying abroad, the session offers a chance to hear directly from their peers about mobility experiences, student life and campus culture. It will also provide practical guidance for those considering an international learning experience, including advice on mobility applications and procedures.
The session will conclude with breakout rooms where participants can speak directly with student ambassadors or mobility officers and ask questions about their own plans.
Support for early-career researchers
The other session, taking place on 12 October, turns the focus to PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers. The webinar will introduce the range of opportunities Circle U. offers to support researchers at the start of their careers, from funding and mobility to networking and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Among the opportunities presented will be funded mobility stays of up to €2,250 at a partner university, NGO or start-up. Participants will also learn about Circle U. Sandpits, which support researchers in developing interdisciplinary project ideas, as well as tools such as the Academic Directory and Outputs Research Repository for finding potential collaborators and creating research partnerships across the alliance.
The session will also highlight upcoming early-career researcher training opportunities and relevant Open Campus offers, followed by a live Q&A with Circle U. Research Lead Charlotte Birnbaum-Nyberg.
Connecting people, universities and opportunities
Together, the two sessions showcase how a European University Alliance can make European higher education more connected and accessible by creating opportunities for students and researchers to learn, collaborate and build international networks across borders.
From international learning and cross-border education to research support and mobility, Circle U. brings together opportunities from nine universities and makes it easier for members of its community to engage with higher education beyond their home institution.
Both sessions are online and held in English, with registration required. The Early Career Researchers: Funding, Mobility and more session takes place on 12 October from 12:00 to 13:00 CEST, while the Student Info Session & Welcome Day follows on 14 October at the same time.
