On 20 November, Circle U. will celebrate its 5th anniversary at the University of Vienna. As part of the event, we are organising a poster session that aims to present the wide range of activities, achievements, and initiatives emerging from Circle U. This session also offers a unique opportunity to promote cross-university, international, and interdisciplinary collaborations and showcase the impact of our alliance within our academic communities.

Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome, including Knowledge Hub and Work Package members, students, as well as any other member of the academic and support service staff.

Format

  • Up to ~25 posters will be displayed physically at a 2-hour session in the afternoon of 20 November open to students and staff
  • Walk-through settings
  • At least one member of each submission team is asked to attend the event to present the posters to the audience
  • All posters will be presented in a virtual gallery available on the Circle U. website to the public

Eligibility

We welcome submissions from staff and students that relate to:

  • Circle U. activities, initiatives, and collaborations (e.g. Knowledge Hubs, Open Campus)
  • Stories and contributions from Circle U. students and staff (CUSU, ambassadors, fellows, alumni, etc.)
  • Innovative teaching formats and joint learning experiences
  • Activities impacting our key areas such as mobility, sustainability, equity, diversity & inclusion, and entrepreneurship
  • Research or seed-funded projects developed within Circle U.
  • Proposals should involve at least 2 partner universities.

Call for Submission & Practicalities:

Send your proposal to circle-u@univie.ac.at by 30 September 2025, with the following details:

  • Authors and affiliations
  • Title
  • 100-150-word summary of the achievements/impact in Circle U.
  • Poster Draft: activity type, objective, methodology, outcomes, lessons learned.
  • Posters will be printed in A0 size; vertical orientation. For your inspiration, please feel free to use this template. Please add the Circle U. logo and the logos of the partner universities by using our visual identity guidelines.
  • Printing will be arranged by the University of Vienna

We do not consider this call as a competitive initiative and are striving to display as many posters as possible, either virtually or in person. Nevertheless, should the number of applicants considerably exceed the limits foreseen for the physical session, the organisers will select from the submitted poster proposals. In case you are selected, at least one (ideally more) member(s) of the submission team can present the poster in person at the poster session.
