The Open Campus has evolved into a digital interuniversity hub at the heart of Circle U.'s educational ecosystem. It serves as a one-stop shop where students can access all joint offerings created by the alliance partners.
Additionally, its back office includes requirements and guidelines for Circle U. offerings, dedicated chairs, and task forces responsible for coordinating various educational formats. It also provides instructions for teachers on how to develop these formats, along with IT principles and pedagogical support.
Our priority educational formats have seen the introduction of an exciting array of programmes. From our signature summer schools on Climate Action, Democratic Governance, and Global Health to innovative new initiatives like the Sustainable Wine Intensive Week, the offerings are diverse.
This year, students have also benefited from the Entrepreneurial Change Making programme, an online honours certificate on Sustainable Health Education, winter schools on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence supporting Climate and Water Science, and a Model United Nations Conference on Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, we have provided a diverse range of online courses and sessions, including Open Conversations on Translational Education in Africa, The Politics of Poverty and Hope, and an online lecture series on Vaccine Production in Africa, to name just a few. Numerous other courses and initiatives are set to launch next year.
To continue our growth, we encourage as many colleagues as possible to engage and collaborate on educational offerings. We have streamlined the process for proposing new initiatives, making it easier to bring your ideas to life with the support of the Circle U. team.
