This edition of Circle U.nited is meant to connect Circle U. students to changemakers with diverse backgrounds – all around the topic of sustainability. The programme consists of two parts.

Online sessions

On 4 and 18 February, as well as 4 and 18 March 2026 (each from 18:15 - 20:00 CET), we welcome inputs of all formats for the digital sessions (up to 90 mins), that connect to one of the key topics:

  • Global environmental problems & social justice (4 February)
  • Green transitions in Europe (18 February)
  • Inequality, justice & colonial perspectives (4 March)
  • Co-creating change: shaping a sustainable Europe (18 March)

In-person week in Berlin

From 27 April through 1 May 2026, an international group of students will gather at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. For this in-person week, we seek contributions such as talks, workshops, case studies or other interactive formats related to sustainability in practice.

We especially welcome formats that create dialogue and discussion. Possible topics include urban transformations, grassroots initiatives, circular economies, community projects and other cases of sustainability in action.

How to apply

Your application should include:

  • The title of your contribution.
  • A description of your contribution and how you connect it to (one of) the topics.
  • Your institutional/organisational affiliation or other background.
