Conflict and Navigation
This session explores conflict, its resolution, and non-violent communication. We will look at how communication affects our mental health, how it can become more inclusive, and how the principles of non-violent communication apply in institutional settings.
Join us on Thursday 21 May at 3pm!
Constructive storytelling
Viewing the world through a Constructive Lens: A practical intervention on how to focus on solutions, nuance and dialogue in storytelling
This three-hour intervention introduces the three pillars of constructive journalism: solutions, nuance, and dialogue. Through examples and discussion, participants explore how these elements create more complete and engaging stories. In a guided exercise, participants learn how to apply this to their own storytelling. The session concludes with a reflection on how to apply these approaches further on.
Join us on 18 June at 2pm!
Leadership and Inclusion
This session covers what leadership really means, the difference between authority and leadership, and how leadership looks different when you are underrepresented in academia. We will explore practical examples and strategies for shifting the power balance toward those less represented, and address how to preserve your mental health along the way.
