A strong commitment to Global Health
Université Paris Cité is located at the heart of Paris, the city of lights. Created 5 years ago, it embodies youthful spirit while preserving the heritage of its founding institutions: Paris Diderot, Paris Descartes universities and Institut de physique du globe de Paris as a component institution. The world ‘Cité’ in the university’s name means ‘Global Village’ and this is how Université Paris Cité is described. It is international agora where people can connect, learn, explore and innovate.
The university is committed to building a future that benefits everyone. For its 5th anniversary, it reaffirms the mission expressed in its motto: Planetary health: healthy people, in healthy societies, on a healthy planet. For this occasion, it also announced the future launch of its university press and of two events: the first will discuss the impact of the university on the city, the second will focused on the university’s motto , the ‘Global Health week’.
A founding member of Circle U.
As one of our founding universities, Université Paris Cité has actively contributed to the development of Circle U.. Sharing the same concerns for Health, the university has been leading the Circle U. ‘Global Health Hub’ for 4 years now. It is currently preparing to launch the 4th edition of the Summer School ‘Rethinking Global Health’ which aims at addressing Health inequalities.
In addition, Université Paris Cité is also part of our other platforms and hubs (Artificial Intelligence, Democracy and Climate). Its latest initiative is the creation of a photo exhibitions aiming for sharing different visions and perspectives on the climate change. All the Circle U. community is invited to participate starting from February 2025 onward. The virtual exhibition will be displayed on the Circle U. website.
