Learning outcomes
Graduates of the Double Degree programme will acquire a solid foundation in the core disciplines of chemistry, with particular emphasis on organic, molecular, biomolecular and medicinal chemistry.
The programme fosters strong theoretical understanding and advanced problem-solving abilities, enabling students to analyse complex chemical phenomena and address scientific challenges. Through extensive laboratory practice and internships in both research institutions and private companies, students develop hands-on technical skills and experience in applying modern chemical techniques.
Emphasis is placed on independent research, allowing students to formulate, develop, and test their own scientific hypotheses at the interface of organic, molecular, and medicinal chemistry. The program also nurtures essential transferable skills, including teamwork, project management, and participation in funding initiatives.
Professional opportunities upon graduation
Graduates of the Double Degree programme are well-prepared to pursue a variety of professional paths. They may join the Research & Development sector of both public and private organisations as research executives, contributing to innovative projects and technological development. Alternatively, they can continue their academic career by enrolling in a PhD programme, either in purely academic settings or in collaboration with industry partners. Graduates may also choose to complement their scientific training with one or more years in an MBA programme, preparing them for roles as entrepreneurs, business analysts, or managers who combine strong scientific expertise with strategic and market-oriented skills.
Application
For this programme, the students need to:
- Hold a first-cycle degree (Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or an equivalent qualification),
- Possess proficiency in English (level B2) and Italian (level B2).
They will need to provide transcripts, degree certificates, CV, motivation letter, and proof of language proficiency in both English and Italian.
Application is open until 30 June 2026!
