InnovEd4TS was launched in 2019 as a stepping-stone in the founding of an alliance and involves five members of Circle U (Humboldt, UCLouvain, Oslo, Aarhus and Paris) in partnership with the University of Lisbon. ​

It focuses on the analysis and the development of initiatives that promote the acquisition of transferable skills among students​.

Objectives​

  1. To conduct an analysis of innovative teaching initiatives in the light of the transferable skills they foster. ​

  2. To inform and inspire university educators and other teachers, as well as educational developers, on opportunities for scaling up these initiatives and creating inter-university educational paths​

  3. To provide a stepping stone for the creation of a European Campus​

Process

These objectives will be reached through 4 intellectual outputs.

    An interactive tool available with an analysis of the transferable skills and initiatives in an online open education repository.

InnovEd4TS Field Mission #1: "Computing in Education" Initiative at the University of Oslo

Within the framework of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS (Innovative Education for Transferable Skills), five member universities of Circle U. Alliance (Humboldt, UCLouvain, Oslo, Aarhus and Paris) together with the University of Lisbon launched their field missions as of October 2020.

InnovEd4TS Field Mission #2: "IngénieuxSud" meets at UCLouvain

After having held its first virtual visit in Oslo, the peer experts of the InnovEd4TS - Innovative Education for Transferable Skills - Strategic partnership met the team of the "IngénieuxSud" Initiative at UCLouvain. A collaborative tool supported the participants in their deliberations.

InnovEd4TS Field mission #3: "Artistes en Résidence" and Research Creation - When Art meets Science at UCLouvain

Earlier in December, the third flagship initiative of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS was hosted virtually at UCLouvain. Peer experts of five Circle U. alliance universities and the University of Lisbon attended the field mission. They learned about the "Artistes en Résidence" and Research Creation initiatives, creative and enriching programs which develop transferable skills among students.

InnovEd4TS Field mission #4 - Case Competition "Stay Relevant": Using academic knowledge in practice

From the 22nd to the 26th of March, the fourth flagship initiative of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS was hosted virtually at Aarhus University. Invited experts from four Circle U. universities and the University of Lisbon had the opportunity to witness the Case Competition "Stay relevant" (studerende.au.dk) that Aarhus University had set up for its students, enabling them to develop their transferable skills.

On the 8th and 9th of April, the fifth flagship initiative of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS was hosted virtually at Université Paris Cité.

On the 15th and 16th of April, the sixth flagship initiative of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS was hosted virtually at the University of Lisbon.

InnovEd4ts Field mission #7 - Research-based learning at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Last June, the seventh flagship initiative of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS was hosted virtually at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (HU-Berlin). Invited experts from four Circle U. universities and the University of Lisbon met around the flagship initiative HU-Q Programme, a university-wide initiative for research-based learning.

In July, the last flagship initiative of the Strategic Partnership InnovEd4TS was hosted virtually at Aarhus University.

Bringing Innovative Pedagogies and Students' Transferable skills in Higher Education

Held at the University of Oslo on March 29th, the InnovEd4TS project gathered 35 professors, peer experts, project leaders and guest participants for a hybrid seminar.

Final report from InnovEd4TS: Recommendations for Supporting and Developing Transferable Skills in Higher Education

InnovEd4TS focuses on the analysis and the development of initiatives that promote the acquisition of transferable skills that students need to face future challenges.

Nine innovative projects from the partners of the InnovEd4TS project have been presented and analysed with a focus on their ability to promote transferable skills in Higher Education. The Consortia have developed new tools to analyse those projects. This report is based on a Recommendation Seminar, which took place in Oslo in March 2022, and will showcase the results from the seminar.

IO4: Open Online Education Repository​

An interactive tool available with an analysis of the transferable skills and initiatives in an online open education repository.

A repository to share our findings. The goal is to inspire innovative teachers to include the development of transferable skills in their teaching. InnovEd4TS brought together several higher education institutions focused on researching, describing, and explaining 12 transferable academic skills in innovative academic contexts, based on 9 flagship initiatives.
