Strengthening communication across the Circle U. alliance

Welcome to the Community of Practice (CoP) for administrative staff focusing on Internal and External Communication.

This unique initiative brings together communication professionals from across the nine Circle U. universities to share knowledge, exchange best practices, and collaborate on innovative strategies. Through a series of discussions, our COP addresses a diverse range of topics, including:

• Effective Internal Communication: Exploring strategies for sharing information with all staff members, highlighting achievements in research and service to society to boost institutional pride and recognition.
• Media and Press Relations: Sharing best practices for managing press relations, promoting university news, and navigating the media landscape.
• Science Communication and Social Responsibility: Examining how universities can responsibly engage with civil society and combat science skepticism, particularly through social media and other public platforms. Discuss the role of scientific publishing, and the principles of open access/open science.
• Digital Communication and Infrastructure: Addressing challenges and opportunities of digital communication, from understanding the infrastructure of internal channels to the rise of corporate influencers and effective use of social media for science communication.
